
Poet Kevin Hagan is a professional poet living on the West Coast in the mid Willamette Valley in Oregon about an hour south of Portland in the state capital of Salem. He has published one book, with another anthology and a chapbook on the way. His first anthology is titled "Hatter and Lilith: Tales From the Queer Asylum." As a cis male homosexual who also experiences Schizoaffective disorder, Kevin has had a unique and interesting life experience that is reflected in his poetic works. I am an advocate for disability rights and the rights of people who are considered neurodivergent as I am. I want to be the best Poet I can while championing social justice especially along the lines in no particular order of disability rights Racial and ethnic rights, LGBTQ+ and immigrant rights. One thing I like to do when reading poetry or really any enjoyable writing. I often wonder what and where the author or poet is writing their art.Therefore let me describe my process. I have over a dozen notebooks that I wrote different ideas and sometimes entire poems, for good part of the summers of 2023 and 2024
